JUJITSU - Japanese fighting systems roughly translated as
'yielding martial art', or 'pliable method or technique'.
KAJUKENBO - Chinese/Hawaiian martial art formed in Hawaii
between 1949 and 1951, made up of; Karate, Judo, Jujitsu, Kenpo and
Northern and Southern Sil Lum Kung Fu. Founded by Siju. Adriano
D. Emperado.
KARATE - Japanese term for unarmed fighting systems,
meaning 'empty hand'. An older translation is 'Chinese hand'.
KEMPO - Okinawan fighting system, meaning 'fist way', or
'fist law'.
KENPO - Old spelling of Kempo, now commonly used. (Also
the original style and first branch in the Kajukenbo system. Headed by Sijo
Emperado)

TAI CHI - Chinese method for centering and balancing the
body and the chi, meaning 'grand ultimate' or 'supreme ultimate'.
TAI CHI CHUAN - Chinese, meaning 'grand ultimate fist'.
TANG SOO DO - Korean fighting system. Can be translated as "Art of the Chinese hand"
TORI - Japanese, meaning person who performs the technique
when practicing with a partner, the defender.
TUM PAI - Branch of Kajukenbo, meaning 'central way',
based on Tai Chi application, headed by the late Professor Jon
Loren.
UKE - Japanese, meaning person who receives technique when
practicing with a partner, the attacker, 'the bad guy'.
WUN HOP KUEN DO - Branch of the Kajukenbo system, meaning
'Combination Fist Art'. Wun Hop Kuen Do is Professor Al
Dacascos' expression of the combining of the arts and is headed by Professor
Al Dacascos.
