Students may want to learn the AKA Alphabet techniques. While this information may not be required for rank, it is important in a historical way as it is part of the original Kakukenbo technique set.
For Belt Rank the requirements are
as follows:
Yellow belt : (youth requirements)
- Basics : 1 - 3
- Tricks : 1 -3
- Grab Arts : 1 - 3
- Forms : 1, 2
- First section of the History sheet
Orange belt: (youth requirements)
- Basics : 1 - 6
- Tricks : 1 -6
- Grab Arts : 1 - 6
- 5 Basic Hand Arts
- Forms : 1, 2, 3, 4
- First two sections of the History sheet
Purple belt: (youth requirements)
- Basics : 1 - 10
- Tricks : 1 -6
- Grab Arts : 1 - 10
- 10 Basic Hand Arts
- Forms : 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 14
- Judo throws, ask Sigung Gerald
- Jujitsu / chokes, ask Sigung Gerald
